Bernice is an accomplished Creative Storyteller who directs, writes, animates, and edits. She usually takes on projects from start to finish, doing the editing, color, and motion graphics herself. She has collaborated with directors like Bon Duke, Diane Russo, and Craig Cutler.  Her most recent project is “Matches", a collaboration with director Craig Cutler and creative director Scott Bremmer, about the importance of maintaining social distance during COVID times. One of her most outstanding works is "Our Time", a politically charged short film directed by Dianne Russo and edited by her, for Document. They collaborated closely to bring to life a powerful film, set In a Prohibition-era, in which parlor women of various ages, sizes, shapes, and colors dance together as an act of rebellion and freedom that is abruptly broken up by police brutality. Intertwined with footage from the Women's Liberation movements of the '60s and '70s, and recent clips of Black Lives Matter, gay rights protests, and the 2017 Women’s March in Washington, the film is a poetic celebration of the triumphant struggles of half-class members of our society, and a witnessing eye of the injustice and unrest of present times. Her most recent documentary film is “Why We Serve Stories of American Service”, a project for the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian that poignantly tells first-person stories of Native Americans who have proudly served in the military for this country. Bernice is a versatile storyteller, able to work on both nonfiction and narrative stories. A list of her commercial clients includes Nike, L’Oreal, Vogue, Truly Water, Missoni, Bonhams, John Hancock, MIU MIU, and Valentino, among other global brands.
